Green Practice
Our health is dependent on a healthy environment. Climate change and damage to our environment pose serious consequences for our health. As doctors we have a responsibility to show leadership in addressing this challenge.

To care for nature is to care for ourselves. At our practice aims to be a model “green practice”; we have tried to minimise our “environmental footprint” by installing solar panels and solar water heating, reducing energy consumption and waste, and recycling paper and materials where possible. We encourage electronic referrals and prescriptions to minimise paper consumption and remain a paperless practice as much as possible.
Many of our doctors cycle or walk to work. We have converted our garden to be water wise, installed a vegetable garden and use composting bins for food waste.
As doctors we have a responsibility to show leadership in addressing this challenge. Participating in this endeavour means being part of a larger network of medical practitioners working together to bring sustainable changes to medical practice.
